Puppy Training
(8 weeks – 6 months)

We believe that starting puppies off with training early on is vital for both new and experienced owners. Our trainer, Martha, has a specialty in early puppyhood development and believes that training should start on day one. Contact us today to set up an initial evaluation!

Since puppy training should start on day one, our trainer can come out to your home and help with all aspects of having a new puppy including, but not limited to:

  • Socialization
  • Potty training
  • Crate training
  • Basic obedience (sit, down, stay, etc)
  • Teaching your puppy their name
  • Leash manners
  • House manners

In addition, our trainer can help troubleshoot common puppy problems such as:

  • Nipping/biting
  • Inappropriate play
  • Jumping
  • Anything you can think of, we have dealt with!

Private Training Session

1 Hour

We have found that it is most beneficial to work with clients and their dogs in the home. We offer private one-hour long sessions that are catered to your dog’s specific needs and to achieving your long and short-term goals.

Field Trip (1-2 hours)

Once dogs have gone through either Private Training or have successfully completed a Board & Train some owners may choose to do training “field trips” with our trainer. Training in the home ensures that we build a solid relationship and foundation while the field trips up the ante. We want dogs to be confident and obedient in the face of different distractions. This option is great for owners that frequent breweries on the weekend with their dogs or that take their dogs on adventures on the boat, on hikes, and everywhere in between.

Taking part in field trips is beneficial to owners since it puts their dog’s knowledge and skills to the test in real-life scenarios. For our Board & Train graduates taking a field trip after a Board & Train can help maintain and solidify the skills and build upon the relationship between you and your dog. Our trainer will help you navigate every step of the trip and take on any potential challenges that arise to make sure you feel confident that you have the techniques and tools to communicate effectively with your dog.

Board & Train

Dogs need high levels of consistency and structure when learning new or different behaviors. Our Board & Train program is designed to provide dogs with the consistency and structure they need to be successful. We speak with each Board & Train client on an individual basis to develop a plan to achieve their goals. Each Board & Train is customized depending on your dog training needs, goals, and issues you may have.

Oftentimes owners don’t have the resources: time, knowledge, or tools to achieve their dog training goals.

The benefit of a Board & Train is that your dog will work with our trainer in various different situations including, but not limited to, private, in groups, and out in real-life scenarios. We find that the Board & Train serves as a boot camp for your dog on how to handle different scenarios. At the end of the Board & Train, you will receive a private training session to go over what your dog has learned and teach you how to use the tools and techniques we’ve implemented to set your dog up for success.
